1) How long will it take?

The course is designed to be completed in one year.  Classes are scheduled for 40 hours per week over the course of 50 weeks (2,000 clock hours).  You must complete 250 hours of theory training and 1,750 hours of practical training(See the Curriculum page)

2) How much will it cost?

Tuition (2000 clock hour in 12 months)  $        5,100.00
Laboratory Fee  $             50.00
Mal-Practice Insurance  $             50.00
Barber/Styling Tool Kit (Non-Refundable)  $        1,000.00
   
TOTAL COURSE COST*  $        6,300.00
   
STATE OF MICHIGAN LICENSES AND FEES  (Non-Refundable)
   
Student Barber License  $             80.00
Barber Exam Application Fee  $           161.00
   
*If completed by projected graduation date, otherwise $3.00/hour
not to exceed 150% of projected graduation time

3) How do I get started?

Call us today at 517.482.8083 and schedule a personal interview with the School Director, Walt Lupu. Get any of your questions answered and arrange for your own personal tour. Then you will be ready to sign an Enrollment Agreement.
 
To complete the Enrollment Agreement you will need to have:
  1. Proof of High School completion
  2. Proof of Identification
  3. A completed Michigan Student License application
  4. A check or money order for $80.00 made out to the
    "State of Michigan - Barbers"
